Hands-FREE Travel is part of the "e-Airport Concept", which is fully supported by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transportation (MLIT) and is carried out by "Advanced Airport Systems Technology Research Consortium" (ASTREC). This is a new feature, utilizing RFID technology, modeling for the future.
By combining the existing delivery services and airline baggage handling, which has been 2 separate functions, passengers will no longer be required to retrieve the baggage from the delivery service company. Thus, passengers can travel to the destination, Hands-FREE.
This feature provides maximum security for passengers departing on international flights out of Narita International Airport and at the same time, is easy and quick, aiming for the objective of providing SPT
(Simplifying Passenger Travel). |
