Japan/U.S. RFID tag trial on UHF Frequency started in April 2004 where 2 different frequencies between Narita and Honolulu were tested, Japan on 950MHz and U.S. on 915MHz.
e-tag is affixed to the baggage upon check-in at Narita. e-tag is read by the antenna at Honolulu operating on 915MHz.
e-tag is affixed to the baggage upon check-in at Honolulu. e-Tag is read by the antenna at Narita operating at 950 to 956 MHz.
e-Tag process at check-in is no different from the existing check-in process at either Narita or Honolulu.
